Raised in rabbit against the chaperonin subunit CCT4, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. CCT4 (also called CCT delta) is one of eight paralogous subunits of the TRiC/CCT complex, an ATP-dependent Group II chaperonin that folds cytoskeletal proteins such as actin and tubulin and a range of cell-cycle regulators and oncoproteins.

Because the antibody is unconjugated, it can be paired with a secondary reporter of the user's choice (HRP, fluorophore, biotin), making it adaptable across standard immunodetection platforms. Its polyclonal format broadens epitope coverage, which is helpful when CCT4 expression is low or when the protein is partially degraded, and the rabbit host produces low background on human and mouse tissue sections.

Reactivity has been confirmed against human and mouse CCT4, with no detection claimed for other species. Common research applications include profiling TRiC/CCT complex assembly in cancer cell lines, tracking CCT4 redistribution under proteotoxic or heat-shock stress, and confirming CCT4 levels in knockdown or overexpression experiments. For short-term use, keep the vial refrigerated and protect from light; for longer storage, freeze in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the antibody stock.
