Raised in rabbit, this polyclonal primary antibody recognizes CCT4, also known as chaperonin-containing TCP-1 subunit delta, a core component of the eight-subunit TRiC/CCT chaperonin complex that mediates ATP-dependent folding of cytoskeletal proteins including actin and tubulin. The unconjugated reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% Glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial, and has been validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples. The 50% glycerol buffer permits storage at -20 °C with minimal freeze-thaw damage, and the sodium azide preservative allows direct use in routine immunostaining workflows. Intended for research use only, the antibody supports studies of cytoskeletal chaperone function, mitotic spindle assembly, and protein-folding quality control in cell and tissue lysates.
