The CCBL1 target (cysteine conjugate-beta lyase 1, also known as KYAT1) is a pyridoxal-5'-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase active in the kynurenine branch of tryptophan catabolism, where it transaminates kynurenine to kynurenic acid. Antibodies.com supplies this affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal reagent for detection of the endogenous protein across human, mouse, and rat samples.
Provided as 100 µl of unconjugated IgG at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes along the CCBL1 sequence, an advantage when probing tissue sections where epitope accessibility varies. For routine use, store refrigerated at 4 °C; for longer projects, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C to limit loss of activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
