Primary antibody reagent from Antibodies.com targeting Chromobox protein homolog 8 (CBX8), a chromodomain-containing reader subunit of the Polycomb Repressive Complex 1 (PRC1) that contributes to monoubiquitination of histone H2A at Lys-119 and to chromatin compaction underlying transcriptional repression. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG detects endogenous levels of CBX8 protein (~43 kDa) and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species programs in epigenetics, stem cell maintenance, and cancer biology where CBX8 has documented oncogenic roles in breast cancer, acute myeloid leukemia, and glioblastoma.

The reagent is supplied as a 200 µl liquid preparation in a single vial, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol at approximately 1.0 mg/mL. Affinity purification against recombinant full-length human CBX8 yields >95% purity by SDS-PAGE. The polyclonal format provides multi-epitope recognition useful when probing PRC1 complex composition, H3K27me3-associated chromatin states, and Polycomb-target gene regulation in differentiating cells.

For handling, store refrigerated at 4°C and prepare single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; the 50% glycerol cryoprotectant base supports stable short-term liquid storage. Each vial is supplied unconjugated for direct pairing with HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-conjugated secondary reagents of choice, allowing flexible integration into immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, or standard chromogenic and fluorescence detection pipelines.
