Anti-CBX7 Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal primary antibody specific for human Chromobox protein homolog 7 (CBX7), supplied by Antibodies.com in a 100 µL vial as an unconjugated, affinity-purified reagent. CBX7 is a chromatin-associated reader of trimethylated histone H3K27 and a core component of the Polycomb Repressive Complex 1 (PRC1), where it contributes to the maintenance of repressive chromatin states and long-term gene silencing, including roles in X-chromosome inactivation and lineage specification.

This reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications on human samples, supporting detection of endogenous CBX7 in whole-cell lysates, nuclear extracts, and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. CBX7 expression is of particular interest in epigenetics and oncology research, where altered Polycomb activity has been linked to lymphoma, prostate cancer, and other solid tumor contexts.

For storage, aliquot the antibody upon first thaw to minimize repeated freeze-thaw cycles and keep the vial at -20°C; for short-term bench use, refrigeration at 4°C for up to two weeks is acceptable.
