CBX4 (Chromobox 4) is a Polycomb group protein and SUMO E3 ligase that plays a central role in transcriptional repression through the Polycomb Repressive Complex 1 pathway. The Antibodies.com anti-CBX4 polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit, purified by affinity chromatography, and validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation workflows on human and mouse samples.

Functionally, CBX4 contributes to recognition of methylated histone H3K27me3, sumoylation of transcription factors including HIF-1α, and maintenance of pluripotency in embryonic stem cells. Investigators working in chromatin remodeling, stem cell biology, and cancer research apply this antibody to study PRC1-mediated gene silencing, hypoxia signaling, nucleolar RNA processing, and Polycomb-dependent DNA damage responses. The unconjugated IgG isotype enables flexible pairing with secondary antibodies for immunofluorescence, chromatin immunoprecipitation, and standard blotting protocols. Each vial contains 100 µl of polyclonal antibody suitable for co-immunoprecipitation studies of Polycomb repressive complexes.
