This primary antibody recognizes human CBX2, a chromatin-associated Polycomb protein involved in maintaining repressive chromatin and regulating gene expression. The Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal IgG provided as a 200 µl unconjugated preparation for western blot workflows, allowing it to be paired with a laboratory-selected labeled secondary antibody.
It is used to examine CBX2 expression in human cell or tissue lysates and to investigate Polycomb repressive complex 1 biology in chromatin regulation, transcriptional control, cell differentiation, and cancer-research models. Because the antibody is unconjugated, signal generation depends on the chosen secondary reagent and detection chemistry. Molecular-weight markers, appropriate loading controls, and optimized lysate preparation help interpret the observed CBX2 signal and support comparisons among experimental conditions.
