This unconjugated Mouse monoclonal antibody targets CBR1 (carbonyl reductase 1), a cytosolic NADPH-dependent oxidoreductase that belongs to the short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase (SDR) superfamily. CBR1 catalyzes the reduction of many endogenous and xenobiotic carbonyl substrates, including prostaglandins, quinones, and anthracycline chemotherapeutics such as doxorubicin, which is why the enzyme is frequently investigated in drug-metabolism, chemoresistance, and steroid-biology research.
The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of purified immunoglobulin in PBS (pH 7.4) supplemented with 0.2% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry (ICC) on Human samples. For routine handling, the vial should be stored at -20°C, with working aliquots kept refrigerated to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect antibody activity. This Antibodies.com monoclonal pairs well with studies of carbonyl-substrate clearance, anthracycline detoxification pathways, and SDR-family enzyme characterization across cell-based and lysate workflows.
