Raised in rabbits against CREB-binding protein (CBP, also called KAT3A), this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes an endogenous transcriptional coactivator with intrinsic histone acetyltransferase activity. CBP is studied in chromatin remodeling, signal-dependent gene regulation, and disease contexts such as Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome, where heterozygous loss-of-function mutations disrupt normal development.

Validated for several detection workflows, the polyclonal reagent supports western blot analysis of CBP expression in cultured mammalian cell lysates, immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed tissue sections, immunofluorescence localization of nuclear CBP in transfected or primary cells, and ELISA-based detection in research assays. Cross-reactivity has been confirmed in human and mouse samples, enabling direct comparisons between mouse model data and human patient-derived material.

Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated polyclonal antiserum raised in a rabbit host, the reagent pairs with HRP-conjugated, fluorophore-conjugated, or biotinylated secondary antibodies depending on the chosen detection chemistry. Brief refrigeration between uses preserves binding activity for routine laboratory workflows.
