Anti-CBP Antibody

Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes CBP (CREB-binding protein), a ubiquitously expressed nuclear transcriptional coactivator and intrinsic lysine acetyltransferase that couples chromatin remodeling to gene activation. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of liquid in a single-use vial and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows.

It cross-reacts with the human, mouse, and rat CBP orthologues, making it a flexible tool for studies spanning cultured cell-line models, primary rodent tissue sections, and archived clinical material. CBP integrates signals from the cAMP/PKA, Notch, and Wnt pathways and is therefore of intense interest in transcription and chromatin biology research, in leukemia biology where CBP fusion partners are well characterized, and in work on Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome, the developmental disorder linked to CREBBP haploinsufficiency.
