Anti-Caveolin-2 Antibody

This recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically targets Caveolin-2 (CAV2), a ~18 kDa integral membrane component of caveolae, and is raised against a synthetic peptide within human Caveolin-2. The reagent is supplied as a 50 µl liquid aliquot of an unconjugated IgG (clone R02-2G5) formulated in TBS (pH 7.4) containing 1% BSA and 40% glycerol, with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. It is validated for Western blotting, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC-P), with recommended working dilutions of approximately 1:500–1:5,000 for WB, 1:100–1:200 for IHC, and 1:100–1:200 for ICC/IF, and it reacts with human samples. Affinity-purified and unconjugated, the antibody is shipped on blue ice and should be stored at 4 °C for short-term use or aliquoted and kept at −20 °C for long-term storage, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. As a caveolae marker, it is a useful tool for studies of lipid rafts, endocytosis, and signal transduction across fibroblast, endothelial, muscle, and adipocyte lineages.
