Anti-CAV3 Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targeting human Caveolin-3 (CAV3), supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. Caveolin-3 is the muscle-specific member of the caveolin family and serves as the principal structural component of caveolae in skeletal and cardiac myocytes, where it organizes signaling microdomains at the sarcolemma. Aberrant CAV3 expression or function is implicated in caveolinopathies, including limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 1C, rippling muscle disease, and certain forms of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and long QT syndrome, making reliable detection of the protein relevant for studies of muscle membrane biology, dystrophic phenotypes, and cardiac electrophysiology. The polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal clone, supporting recognition of the full-length ~17 kDa protein across denaturing lysates and fixed tissue sections.
