Phospho-specific rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against Caveolin-1 (CAV1) when phosphorylated at tyrosine 14, supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated IgG for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows. Caveolin-1 is a roughly 22 kDa scaffolding protein that organizes caveolae, the flask-shaped plasma membrane invaginations involved in signal transduction, lipid trafficking, and mechanosensing. Tyrosine 14 phosphorylation of CAV1 is catalyzed by Src-family kinases downstream of growth factor, integrin, and oxidative stress cues, and the modification drives focal-adhesion turnover, cell migration, and stress-fiber remodeling central to cancer invasion, vascular remodeling, and fibroblast mechanotransduction studies.

This reagent from Antibodies.com detects the phospho-Y14 epitope on endogenous CAV1 in human, mouse, and rat samples, making it useful for tracking acute Src activation in cell lines, primary endothelial cells, and tumor-tissue lysates by Western blot, as well as for visualizing phosphorylated caveolae clusters by immunofluorescence on fixed cells. The polyclonal format increases tolerance for partial epitope occlusion in denatured or cross-linked samples, while the unconjugated rabbit IgG pairs cleanly with commonly available anti-rabbit secondaries for chemiluminescent WB, fluorescent IF, and proximity-ligation readouts in basic research settings. Each vial is intended for research use only.
