Caveolin-1 (CAV1) is a 22 kDa integral membrane protein that forms the structural scaffold of caveolae, the flask-shaped invaginations of the plasma membrane involved in lipid raft organization, endocytic trafficking, and signal transduction. This unconjugated rabbit monoclonal IgG reagent recognizes the human CAV1 target and has been validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. Supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot, the antibody supports studies of caveolae biogenesis, mechanotransduction, cholesterol homeostasis, and tumor microenvironments where caveolin-1 expression is frequently dysregulated. For best results, store refrigerated and protect from light to preserve binding activity across multiple experiments. Antibodies.com provides this research-use-only reagent with consistent lot-to-lot performance suited to primary antibody panels in cell biology and oncology research.
