Anti-CATSPER1 Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent targets CATSPER1, a sperm-specific voltage-gated calcium channel that governs calcium influx in the flagellar principal piece and is required for hyperactivated motility and male fertility. Supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the antibody is validated for western blot detection on human, mouse and rat samples. Loss-of-function mutations in CATSPER1 cause autosomal recessive asthenozoospermia and spermatogenic failure 7, placing the channel at the centre of active research in reproductive biology, contraceptive target discovery and clinical andrology. The polyclonal host, unconjugated format and absence of any fluorophore or enzyme label give flexibility to pair the reagent with custom secondary antibodies for individual experimental designs.
