Raised in rabbit against the L114 region of Cathepsin L2, this polyclonal IgG preparation from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 ul aliquot suitable for direct dilution into Western blot workflows. Cathepsin L2 is a lysosomal cysteine protease of the papain family implicated in extracellular matrix turnover, antigen processing along the MHC class II pathway, osteoclast-mediated bone resorption, and the invasive phenotype of carcinoma cell lines, making it a frequent marker in cancer biology, immunology, and protease research. Validated for detection of the endogenous protein in human, mouse, and rat samples, the unconjugated primary antibody is intended for use with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents depending on whether chemiluminescent or fluorescent membrane readout is required. Store at -20 degrees C and thaw on ice; aliquot the glycerol stock to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and omit sodium azide from any downstream live-cell or in vitro labeling step. Each vial is intended for research use only and supports studies of lysosomal proteolysis, tumor cell migration, and tissue-remodeling model systems.
