Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit-derived affinity-purified reagent is raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human Catenin-γ (also known as γ-catenin or junction plakoglobin), enabling selective detection of endogenous Catenin-γ levels in a wide range of sample types. The antiserum is purified by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen and is supplied as an unconjugated liquid formulation in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, at a protein concentration of 1 mg/mL in a 50µl volume. It is a polyclonal antibody of rabbit origin and is recommended for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and ELISA workflows, with validated reactivity across human, mouse and rat specimens. The product is shipped on cold packs at 4°C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve reagent performance. Intended strictly for research use, this primary antibody is suited to studies of cell adhesion, Wnt signalling and desmosomal assembly where Catenin-γ plays a structural or regulatory role.
