This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets β-catenin (CTNNB1), a multifunctional protein that bridges E-cadherin to the actin cytoskeleton at adherens junctions and, upon Wnt pathway activation, translocates to the nucleus to partner with TCF/LEF transcription factors. Raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated in a 100 µl volume, the antibody is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows across human, mouse, rat, and monkey samples, supporting studies of Wnt signaling, cell-cell adhesion, and oncogenic transformation driven by stabilizing CTNNB1 mutations.

Independent lots are affinity-purified against the immunogen and quality-checked on whole-cell lysates and tissue sections to confirm specificity over the closely related γ-catenin (plakoglobin) and other armadillo-repeat proteins. The unconjugated format allows flexible secondary labeling with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugates of the user's choice, and the reagent should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles during long-term storage. Laboratories investigating colorectal cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, and developmental patterning use this reagent to distinguish cytoplasmic and membranous pools from the nuclear pool that reports active Wnt signaling.
