Manufactured and distributed by Antibodies.com, this primary antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against Catenin-β (beta-catenin), a key component of the Wnt signalling pathway and the cadherin-associated cell-adhesion complex. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide derived from the human Catenin-β sequence flanking the non-phosphorylation site at tyrosine 654, and the resulting antiserum is affinity-purified by epitope-specific affinity chromatography to deliver a reagent that selectively detects endogenous levels of the target protein. The antibody is supplied at 50 µl per vial as an unconjugated liquid formulation in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, at a working concentration of 1 mg/ml, and it should be stored at −20 °C where it remains stable for up to one year. Researchers can apply it across a broad panel of immunoassays, including Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF) and ELISA, and the reagent has been validated for cross-reactivity with human, mouse and rat samples, as illustrated by Western blot data on 823, 293T/AD293, HeLa and HepG2 cell lysates. For laboratories building out Wnt-pathway, adhesion-junction or cancer-research workflows, compatible Anti-Rabbit IgG secondaries conjugated to AP, biotin, FITC or HRP are available to pair with this Catenin-β polyclonal. The product is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications; shipments are dispatched from Stockholm within an estimated five to eight business days.
