Anti-Catenin-β Antibody

Phospho-S33/S37/T41-specific rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com, raised against beta-catenin and validated for immunohistochemistry across human, mouse, and rat tissues. The reagent selectively recognizes beta-catenin only when serine 33, serine 37, and threonine 41 within the N-terminal destruction motif are phosphorylated, the GSK-3β target sites that prime the protein for β-TrCP-mediated ubiquitination and proteasomal turnover. This makes it a useful research tool for tracking Wnt pathway activity, mapping destruction-complex output, and comparing stabilized versus degraded pools of beta-catenin in tumor sections, including colorectal and hepatocellular models where Wnt signaling is frequently deregulated. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated Ig at approximately 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide (approx. pH 7.2), the antibody is intended for research use only and works well on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections in which the phospho-epitope has been preserved.
