Recognizes the Catenin-α1 adhesion protein and is raised in rabbits for cell biology and biochemistry workflows. From Antibodies.com, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG preparation is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% glycerol, with each vial delivering 100 µl of working solution. The reagent is validated for Western blot, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting multiple labeling experiments.
The target localizes to adherens junctions, where it links the cadherin complex to the actin cytoskeleton, and is frequently used in studies of epithelial architecture, cell-cell adhesion, and tumor invasion. Because the reagent is unconjugated, it can be paired with any species-compatible secondary reporter of choice, and the 50% glycerol buffer permits storage at -20 °C with limited freeze-thaw cycling.
