Manufactured by Antibodies.com and supplied in a 50 µl volume, this primary polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbit and targets endogenous Caspase-9, an initiator caspase that plays a central role in programmed cell death and is activated within the Apaf-1 apoptosome complex to cleave downstream effectors such as Caspase-3. The reagent is unconjugated, affinity-purified by epitope-specific peptide chromatography from a synthetic peptide immunogen, and supplied at 1 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol for stability. Validated for Western Blot (WB) and ELISA applications, the antibody is recommended for researchers studying apoptotic signalling, with reactivity confirmed in human and non-human primate (monkey) samples. The recommended working dilution is typically 1:500–1:1,000 for Western blotting. For best preservation of activity the antibody should be stored at –20 °C, with working aliquots kept at 4 °C for short-term use and repeated freeze–thaw cycles avoided. Each vial from the Antibodies.com catalogue is quality-controlled and shipped with full technical support for life-science research use only.
