Anti-Caspase 9 Antibody

This unconjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets Caspase 9, the initiator cysteine protease of the intrinsic (mitochondrial) apoptosis pathway. Caspase 9 is synthesized as an inactive ~46 kDa proenzyme and becomes activated through recruitment to the Apaf-1/cytochrome c apoptosome, where it undergoes autocatalytic cleavage. The reagent can be used to track both the full-length precursor and its processed fragments by Western blot, supporting studies of programmed cell death, DNA damage responses, and drug-induced apoptosis in cell lines and primary tissue.
