Anti-Caspase-6 p18 (D162) Antibody

Generated in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent, this affinity-purified antibody binds the p18 large subunit fragment of Caspase-6, the catalytically active cleavage product that arises during apoptotic processing of the full-length zymogen. The p18 fragment retains the active-site cysteine residue, so detection of this species is widely used to track caspase activation in cell death and neurodegeneration research. Supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µL per vial at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated antibody is compatible with a broad selection of labelled secondary reagents and detection chemistries. It is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on mouse and rat samples, where it reveals a band at the expected cleaved-subunit molecular weight on membranes and specific cytoplasmic labelling in fixed tissue sections.
