Anti-Caspase 3 (activated) Antibody

This Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against the cleaved, catalytically active form of caspase 3 and is intended for research use only. The antibody specifically recognizes the p17 subunit generated by proteolytic cleavage at Asp175, the signature event of intrinsic and extrinsic apoptotic signaling, allowing discrimination of active caspase 3 from the inactive ~35 kDa pro-enzyme. On western blot, the cleaved fragment resolves at approximately 17 kDa, while full-length pro-caspase 3 is generally not detected, supporting apoptosis studies in Jurkat, HeLa, and other cultured mammalian lines. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of liquid in a vial, reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, and is compatible with WB, ICC, and ELISA workflows. For short-term use, store at 4 °C; for longer stability, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
