Anti-Caspase 10 Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antiserum is raised against the initiator caspase Caspase 10, a cysteine-aspartic protease central to extrinsic apoptosis signaling. Caspase 10 is recruited to the Fas/CD95 and TRAIL death-inducing signaling complexes (DISC), where it undergoes autocatalytic processing to initiate a caspase cascade that cleaves downstream effector caspases such as caspase 3 and caspase 7, and also contributes to NF-κB activation.

The unconjugated antibody is supplied in a 100 µl vial, validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human tissue and cell samples. The target runs as a ~59 kDa procaspase, and activation produces a large subunit near 43 kDa and a small subunit around 12 kDa that assemble into the active heterotetrameric protease. Investigators studying receptor-mediated apoptosis, DISC assembly, or CASP10 mutations associated with autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome type II and non-Hodgkin lymphoma can use this reagent to monitor both full-length and processed forms.
