CASP9 (Caspase-9) is the apical initiator caspase of the intrinsic (mitochondrial) apoptosis pathway, activated within the Apaf-1 apoptosome and responsible for cleaving downstream effector caspases such as CASP3 and CASP7. This Mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets human, mouse, and rat CASP9 in unconjugated IgG format, and is supplied at 200 µl per vial as a research-use-only reagent.
The antibody is validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), supporting detection of full-length procaspase-9 (~46 kDa) and its processed fragments in cell lysates and tissue sections. Monoclonal specificity and the unconjugated format make it compatible with secondary-label workflows such as HRP, fluorescence, or alkaline phosphatase detection, and the reagent is appropriate for apoptosis studies in cancer, neurodegeneration, and developmental biology models.
