CARD8 (Caspase Activation and Recruitment Domain 8), also referenced as TUCAN, is a key regulator of inflammasome assembly and caspase-1 mediated pyroptosis, and is increasingly studied for its role as a sensor of HIV-1 protease activity and as a brake on DPP9-dependent signaling. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against CARD8 and has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows, supporting detection across human, mouse, and rat sample panels relevant to immunology, infection, and oncology research.
The antibody is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% glycerol, a buffer combination that permits short-term handling at 4 °C and longer storage at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. For immunohistochemistry, antigen retrieval conditions should be matched to the fixation method used, while Western blot performance is typically evaluated on lysates prepared with RIPA or NP-40 buffers supplemented with protease inhibitors.
