Anti-CAPNS1 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against Calpain Small Subunit 1 (CAPNS1), the 28 kDa regulatory subunit that heterodimerizes with the catalytic calpain large subunits (CAPN1 and CAPN2) to assemble the calcium-dependent, cysteine-type calpain proteases. The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a stabilizing cryoprotectant, and the 100 µl vial supports multiple Western blot and immunohistochemistry runs. Validated applications include Western blot on lysates from human, mouse, and rat samples, as well as immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue, covering the principal laboratory species. Because CAPNS1 partners with several large calpain subunits and contributes to cytoskeletal remodeling, cell cycle progression, and vesicle and membrane fusion events, this unconjugated reagent suits studies of calpain-mediated proteolysis, cell migration, and signal transduction.
