Anti-CAPG Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets human CAPG (capping actin protein, gelsolin-like), a calcium-sensitive actin-modulating protein of the gelsolin superfamily that regulates cytoskeletal remodeling and is implicated in macrophage motility, phagocytosis, and tumor cell migration.

The reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, allowing storage at -20 °C without freeze-thaw damage to the 100 µL aliquot.

It has been validated for western blot (WB) detection of CAPG in human lysates and for immunohistochemistry (IHC) on formalin-fixed tissue sections, supporting studies of cytoskeletal dynamics, innate immune cell function, and CAPG overexpression patterns reported in breast carcinoma, pancreatic cancer, and glioblastoma research.

A brief centrifugation step before opening concentrates the solution and improves recovery for working dilutions in single-use applications.
