Calnexin (CANX) is a roughly 90 kDa endoplasmic reticulum chaperone that retains misfolded glycoproteins and assists their folding as part of the calnexin–calreticulin cycle, making it a standard marker for ER homeostasis and the unfolded protein response. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects endogenous calnexin across human, mouse, and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue sections. Provided as 200 µl of unconjugated IgG, it pairs with any HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibody and is suited to studies of glycoprotein quality control, ER-associated degradation, and ER stress signaling. The polyclonal format increases tolerance for minor epitope variation, which is helpful when probing conserved chaperone domains across species. Aliquot upon receipt to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and refrigerate the working aliquot for routine bench use.
