Offered by Antibodies.com, this Cancer Antigen 15-3 (CA 15-3) MUC 1 antibody is a mouse monoclonal reagent raised against purified native MUC1 and is supplied as an ion exchange purified immunoglobulin at 1 mg per vial. The clone is of the IgG1 isotype and is unconjugated, formulated in 10 mM Tris buffer pH 7.5 containing 0.15 M NaCl and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. It is validated for use in ELISA, Western blot (WB), and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows, and is recommended for matched-pair sandwich ELISA work alongside the detection antibody ND-R0274 (capture: 2–8 µg/mL; detection: 0.5–2.0 µg/mL). The target, Mucin-1 (MUC1), is a large transmembrane mucin glycoprotein also known as CA 15-3, CD227, EMA, Episialin, PEM, and PUM, and is widely used as a serological marker of epithelial tumors. The preparation shows >95% purity by ion exchange chromatography and should be stored at 2–8 °C, where it remains stable for routine laboratory use. As a primary antibody from the Antibodies.com catalogue, it is intended for research use only, supporting breast cancer and tumor marker studies, IHC staining of glandular epithelia, and immunoassay development that requires reliable detection of the MUC1 tandem-repeat epitope.
