From Antibodies.com, this research-grade reagent is an ion-exchange purified mouse monoclonal IgG antibody directed against Cancer Antigen 125 (CA 125 / MUC-16), supplied as a 1 mg pack in unconjugated format for use in ELISA, Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). The clone is raised in mouse, is of the IgG isotype, and is purified by ion-exchange chromatography to deliver a consistent primary antibody suitable for ovarian-cancer-related biomarker workflows. Researchers can expect typical CA125 reactivity on the high-molecular-weight mucin-like glycoprotein expressed in non-mucinous epithelial ovarian carcinoma and related tissues, while mucinous tumors and normal ovarian epithelium remain negative. As an unconjugated reagent, the antibody is compatible with a wide range of HRP, biotin and fluorophore-based secondary detection systems for ELISA plates, immunoblots and paraffin sections. For optimal stability, the lyophilized/purified monoclonal antibody should be stored at 2–8 °C for short-term use or aliquoted and kept at –20 °C for long-term storage, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The reagent is intended for research use only and not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
