Distributed by Antibodies.com, this Protein A purified mouse monoclonal reagent targets Campylobacter jejuni and is supplied as a 1 mg unit of unconjugated IgG1 in liquid format, making it well suited to enzyme immunoassay work and immunofluorescence staining of bacterial preparations. The antibody was raised against C. jejuni whole-organism immunogen and, in ELISA, recognises Campylobacter jejuni specifically while remaining non-reactive with H. pylori, several strains of E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, P. aeruginosa, Yersinia and Citrobacter, as documented on the source reagent's specification sheet. In Western blot it binds a roughly 100 kDa antigen of C. jejuni, which makes the same lot useful as a confirmatory readout alongside ELISA. The clone is reported as monoclonal with mouse IgG1 heavy chain and is purified from ascites by Protein A chromatography to at least 90% purity, then formulated in 0.01 M phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.2 with 0.1% sodium azide as preservative. Recommended working dilutions are in the range of 1–5 µg/mL for ELISA coating and approximately 1–2 µg/mL for immunofluorescence applications, with the exact optimal dilution to be determined by the end user. The reagent reacts with Campylobacter jejuni and is intended for research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. For long-term integrity the vial should be stored frozen at –20 °C in single-use aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles; short-term handling at 2–8 °C is acceptable, and centrifugation before opening is recommended to ensure complete recovery of contents.
