Offered under the Antibodies.com catalogue as a primary antibody, this mouse IgG1 monoclonal reagent targets the C-terminus of Calumenin, a 315 amino acid Ca2+-binding member of the CREC EF-hand protein family that resides in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. The antibody is supplied as 50 µl of purified protein in a 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer at pH 7.4 with 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and it is unconjugated, making it suitable for standard immunodetection workflows. The clone was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human Calumenin, affinity-purified from mouse ascites by epitope-specific immunochromatography, and the final purity exceeds 95% by SDS-PAGE. The reagent is validated for Western blot application and reacts with both human and mouse samples, with a predicted target band at 37 kDa and an observed band at approximately 45 kDa; the antibody specifically detects endogenous levels of Calumenin, enabling studies of its role in calcium-dependent interactions such as binding to serum amyloid P component and its involvement in amyloid deposition. Recommended short-term storage is refrigerated at 2–8 °C for up to two weeks, and for longer periods the product should be kept at -20 °C in small aliquots to limit freeze–thaw damage. This product is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
