Calumenin (CALU) is a calcium-binding chaperone localized to the endoplasmic reticulum lumen, where it contributes to protein-folding quality control and helps modulate store-operated calcium entry through interactions with SERCA2 and the plasma membrane calcium pump. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com enables specific detection of the human CALU protein in western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows, supporting studies of ER stress, calcium homeostasis, and tumor biology where calumenin expression has been linked to cell migration, invasion, and metastatic potential. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum, raised against the human target, and is intended for research use only on human-derived samples, making it a relevant tool for investigations into the unfolded protein response, chaperone networks, and disease states such as hepatocellular carcinoma, breast cancer, and other solid tumors in which altered ER calcium handling plays a mechanistic role.
