Calumenin (CALU) is a conserved EF-hand calcium-binding protein localized to the endoplasmic reticulum lumen, where it participates in protein folding, intracellular calcium homeostasis, and modulation of vitamin K-dependent gamma-carboxylation. As a member of the CREC family, it shares sequence homology with reticulocalbin, ERp44, and Cab45, and contributes to the quality control of newly synthesized secretory and membrane proteins.
This preparation from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal antibody supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial. The reagent is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated format gives laboratories flexibility to pair the antibody with HRP, biotin, Alexa Fluor, or other secondary reagents depending on whether chromogenic or fluorescence detection is required. Store refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees C and protect from light to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles when handled as single-use aliquots.
