Anti-Calrecticulin Antibody

Produced by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal anti-Calreticulin antibody targets the endoplasmic reticulum-resident calcium-binding chaperone encoded by the CALR gene. Calreticulin supports nascent glycoprotein folding, maintains luminal calcium homeostasis, and translocates to the plasma membrane during immunogenic cell death, where it functions as a phagocytic eat-me signal for engulfing immune cells.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated IgG in liquid form and is validated for western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry on mouse and human specimens. On western blot, it recognizes a band near 46-55 kDa corresponding to the mature calreticulin polypeptide.

For optimal stability, refrigerate the vial and aliquot upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Intended for research use only, this antibody is commonly used to study ER stress responses, MHC class I antigen presentation, and somatic CALR mutations associated with myeloproliferative neoplasms such as essential thrombocythemia and primary myelofibrosis.
