Calmodulin 2 (CALM2) is a small calcium-binding messenger protein that translates intracellular Ca2+ signals into downstream biochemical events by activating kinases, phosphatases, and ion channels. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes human Calmodulin 2 and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. The antibody is supplied as 100 µL of polyclonal serum and is reactive against endogenous CALM2 expressed in human cells and tissues. Useful for mapping Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent signaling in neuroscience, cardiac physiology, and cancer research, the reagent pairs with standard HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for flexible detection chemistry. Researchers studying cell cycle regulation, smooth muscle contraction, or memory-associated gene expression frequently use anti-CALM2 antibodies to probe how altered calmodulin signaling contributes to disease states including long-QT syndrome and certain leukemias. Each lot is affinity-purified from rabbit host serum to minimize nonspecific background in immunofluorescence on fixed cells and in IHC on paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
