Calmodulin-like protein 5 (CALML5), also referred to as calmodulin-like skin protein, is an epithelial calcium-binding marker associated with keratinocyte terminal differentiation and altered expression reported in cutaneous and breast tumor tissue. This polyclonal rabbit IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is affinity-purified against a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 1-146 of human CALML5 (NP_059118.2) and supplied in a 200 µl vial at a working target molecular weight of 16 kDa.

The unconjugated format supports Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat specimens, with suggested dilutions of 1:500-1:2000 for WB and 1:50-1:200 for IHC applied to cell lysates, tissue homogenates, and fixed paraffin sections. CALML5 is widely used as a tissue-restricted differentiation marker in dermatology research, wound-healing models, and comparative oncology studies, where its abundance across stratified squamous epithelia is profiled alongside tumor and matched normal tissue.

Storage buffer is phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.3 with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For best epitope recognition across repeated blots and stained sections, aliquot upon arrival, store at -20°C, and avoid freeze-thaw cycles. Provided as an in vitro research reagent, this primary antibody offers a flexible format for laboratories characterizing CALML5 protein abundance in cell lysates, tissue homogenates, and fixed tissue arrays.
