Anti-Calcium Sensing Receptor Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the Calcium Sensing Receptor (CaSR), a class C G-protein-coupled receptor that monitors extracellular calcium concentrations and governs parathyroid hormone release, renal calcium reabsorption, and bone remodeling. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated rabbit antiserum, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat specimens.

Applications include western blot detection of CaSR bands in tissue lysates and immunohistochemistry localization in fixed sections, supporting studies of calcium homeostasis disorders, primary hyperparathyroidism, familial hypocalciuric hypercalcemia, and neoplastic calcification. As an unconjugated reagent, it pairs readily with HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-conjugated secondary antibodies, allowing the user to match the detection chemistry to a preferred chemiluminescence or fluorescence imaging platform.
