Anti-Calbindin Antibody [4H7]

This Mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com, clone 4H7, is raised against Calbindin and supplied as an unconjugated IgG1 in liquid form. It is validated for Western blot (WB), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and reacts with Human, Bovine, Porcine, Rat and Mouse samples.

The reagent is produced by immunogen affinity purification using recombinant full-length human Calbindin expressed in and purified from E. coli, yielding a product at 1 mg/ml in Phosphate Buffered Saline with 50% Glycerol and 5 mM Sodium Azide; the target protein has a molecular weight of 28 kDa. According to the manufacturer, the antibody binds Calbindin cleanly without cross-reacting with the related proteins Calretinin or Parvalbumin, making it well suited to identifying and subclassifying cortical GABAergic neurons. Recommended dilutions are WB 1:1,000–1:5,000, ICC/IF 1:1,000 and IHC 1:1,000. The antibody is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
