Raised in rabbit and validated for Western Blot detection of Cell Adhesion Molecule 3, this polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets CADM3 (also called NECL-1 or SynCAM3), a transmembrane immunoglobulin superfamily adhesion molecule involved in homophilic cell-cell contacts, synaptic organization, and contact-dependent signalling in epithelial and neural tissues.

The unconjugated reagent recognizes CADM3 in human, rat, and mouse samples, supporting comparative work in neuroscience, oncology, and epithelial biology, where CADM3 has been reported to function as a putative tumour suppressor and a regulator of synapse assembly at neuronal contacts.

Each vial is supplied at 1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, and the format is a 100 µl aliquot ready to dilute into standard WB blocking and incubation buffers. The sodium azide preservative is compatible with short-term bench use at 4 °C; for longer term storage, aliquot the antibody to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and keep frozen at -20 °C or below to preserve polyclonal activity across multiple experiments.

As an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal, the reagent pairs with standard HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescent Western Blot workflows, and the polyclonal clonality offers multi-epitope recognition of CADM3, which can be advantageous when probing low-abundance membrane proteins or partially denatured samples prepared in standard SDS-PAGE buffers.
