Raised in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent, this primary antibody recognizes CADM1 (Cell Adhesion Molecule 1, also referred to in the literature as SynCAM1, IGSF4, or TSLC1), a transmembrane immunoglobulin-superfamily glycoprotein that mediates homophilic cell-cell adhesion. Validated by Antibodies.com for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse specimens, the reagent supports work in neuroscience laboratories investigating synaptic organization, in immunology groups studying immune synapse formation between cytotoxic lymphocytes and target cells, and in oncology pipelines where silencing of CADM1 expression is routinely scored in non-small cell lung carcinoma and other epithelial tumors as a tumor-suppressor-associated event.

Each vial from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, with 100 µl of product per single-use-format container. Because alternative splicing gives rise to full-length and shorter CADM1 isoforms, a polyclonal reagent such as this one provides broader epitope coverage than a single monoclonal clone for resolving those variants on a Western blot membrane. The stock is intended for storage at -20°C in working aliquots so that repeated freeze-thaw cycles do not degrade the IgG; the 50% glycerol cushion protects the antibody during routine -20°C handling, while the included sodium azide functions as a microbial preservative for the dilute working solution. Buffer exchange into azide-free diluent is recommended for any live-cell or immunohistochemistry application that is sensitive to preservative carry-over. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
