Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against the neuronal voltage-gated calcium channel gamma-2 subunit, also known as CACNG2, Stargazin, TARP gamma-2, or transmembrane AMPAR regulatory protein gamma-2. The immunogen is a recombinant human CACNG2 protein, and the antibody is affinity-purified on the immunogen before being supplied as an unconjugated IgG at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL. Each vial contains 50 µL of the preparation, buffered in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. For short-term transit the reagent is shipped at 4 °C; upon arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided. The antibody specifically detects the endogenous total CACNG2 protein and has been validated for Western blotting (WB) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) on human samples, with reactivity also reported for rat tissue. Intended strictly for research use, the reagent is not for diagnostic or therapeutic application and is offered through the AFMS catalogue as a high-quality tool for studies of AMPA-receptor auxiliary subunits in neuronal signalling.
