Rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent raised against the voltage-dependent calcium channel beta-4 subunit (CACNB4), provided at 100 µL by Antibodies.com. The antibody is unconjugated, allowing flexible pairing with HRP- or fluorophore-tagged secondary detection in Western blot workflows. It has been validated across human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative neuroscience research. CACNB4 is the auxiliary beta subunit of P/Q-type calcium channels, predominantly expressed in cerebellar Purkinje cells, and is the gene implicated in generalized epilepsy and episodic ataxia type 2. Use of this reagent allows investigators to monitor CACNB4 expression in brain lysates and heterologous expression systems. For storage, aliquot upon arrival and store at -20 °C; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Working dilutions should be titrated to band intensity, with incubation typically performed overnight at 4 °C. For research use only.
