CA3 (carbonic anhydrase 3) is a cytosolic zinc metalloenzyme that catalyzes the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide and the interconversion between CO2 and bicarbonate. It is expressed at high levels in skeletal muscle, with additional presence in adipocytes and certain smooth muscle tissues, and reduced CA3 activity has been linked to oxidative stress responses and muscle dysfunction models.
This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. It cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies and rodent model work. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial. For storage, keep aliquots frozen at -20°C and limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles; the included glycerol also permits short-term handling at lower temperatures without loss of activity. Intended for research use only.
