CA 125, also known as MUC16, is a heavily glycosylated transmembrane mucin used clinically as a serum biomarker for epithelial ovarian carcinoma and monitored during patient follow-up. This monoclonal antibody binds the human CA 125 antigen with specificity, supporting detection workflows including flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA across ovarian carcinoma research and tumor-associated antigen studies.

Prepared as an unconjugated IgG2a reagent in lyophilised form, the antibody from Antibodies.com is provided at 100 µg per vial. The mouse host origin and monoclonal clonality (clone designation 15) deliver reproducible recognition of the CA 125 epitope, making it useful for immunophenotyping cell lines, characterizing mucin expression on epithelial surfaces, and probing patient-derived samples.

Storage guidance: keep the lyophilised vial refrigerated and protected from moisture; after reconstitution, aliquot the reagent and freeze at low temperature, limiting freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity over the product shelf life.
