Anti-CA 125 Antibody [110]

Supplied through Antibodies.com as part of their Primary Antibodies range, this lyophilised reagent is a mouse monoclonal antibody (clone 110, catalogue MO-T40012A, part number A32710) directed against human cancer antigen 125 (CA 125), a mucin-family glycoprotein widely used as a tumour marker in ovarian cancer research. The immunoglobulin is produced in mouse and purified by Protein G affinity chromatography; the clone was raised against the human CA 125 protein using the Sp2/0-Ag14 fusion myeloma line, and the antibody is of the IgG1 isotype and supplied unconjugated, allowing researchers to attach their own reporter or label. It is formulated as a 500 µg lyophilised preparation from a 0.01 M phosphate-buffered saline solution at pH 7.2, and is rated for use in ELISA and flow cytometry (FC) applications with human samples. The reagent reacts specifically with human CA 125, has been demonstrated to detect plate-bound CA 125 in ELISA at working concentrations of 0.125 ng/mL or higher when wells are coated at 5 IU per well, and has also shown positive staining of HeLa cells when used at 10 µg/mL with a fluorescent secondary.
