Anti-C4BPA Antibody

Offered by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody is raised against complement component C4BPA and supplied unconjugated with an IgG isotype. It is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), with reactivity reported against human, mouse, and rat samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 500 to the C-terminus of human C4BPA (NP_000706.1). The target has a stated molecular weight of 70 kDa. The antibody is provided as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline, pH 7.3, containing 50% Glycerol and 0.05% Proclin 300, with concentration given as lot specific. Recommended working dilutions are WB: 1:1,000–1:5,000 and IHC: 1:50–1:100. The product is shipped at 4°C; on receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Purification is by affinity methods.

The product is supported by two scientific validation images. In a representative Western blot of human plasma, the antibody was used at 1:3,000 dilution with a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) secondary at 1:10,000 dilution, 25µg of lysate per lane, 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST as blocking buffer, and ECL Basic Kit detection with a 5 second exposure. Mouse plasma was analysed under the same conditions with a 90 second exposure. The product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
